Had my first Yak in the port fri arvo around Garden island, fished the mangroves from the ramp back to the outlet. Only managed 2 bream and a KG whiting on a metal vibrating lure? Conditions were great, just have to work on my casting to keep the lures out of the trees I learnt one lesson make sure you get out before it gets dark those mozzies will suck you dry in 5 minutes ;D

KG on a vibe? Noice. With cockle prices the way they are any KGW on lure is a bonus.

If you're not tangling in a tree occasionally then you're not getting your lure in the right spot ;D. Well at least that's what the nice man at the tackle shop said....he also said that I shouldn't worry if I lose one 'cause he can always sell me a new and better one . You're doing better than a lot of folk in the Port at the moment. It's been a touch quiet for a while. Cheers Mike

wouldve been a pleasant trip with the slack tide eh ! Youve gotta watch the mozzies in the mornings there aswell, pretty sure you could saddle some and ride the buggers home
