In case you missed my reply on AKFF: If your not eating fish - don't miss the pub there as they put on a monster scotch fillet that litterly fills the plate and is the best steak I have ever had. Did not have any fish to eat so ate two of the bloody things in three nights there. If you are interested in bream; go across from the kayak rental place and down towards the mouth and toss unweighted half white baits about in the shallows. Watched a guy walking in knee deep water and using this method and catching some darn nice bream. Anyway, good luck, wish I was going with you becoz it is a beautiful location.

Can't guarantee I wont get a big snook though, gotta test the shark shield out and the best way to get big toothies is with big baits. Phear and I went to the fish factory the other day, he's now ballooning out whole kingfish.

whoa, thats an expensive way to do it! What is the fish factory like, i need to buy better baits this year, and stop using small baits.

Bloody brilliant mate. If I can't get big snook I'll get kingies from them. Small kingies for 12 - 13 a kilo and big ones for 14 to 15 a kilo. If you want to use big baits forget about using the TLD. Get yourself a 6/0 or larger. If you can get big baits out a few hundred metres you wont get many hook ups but DAMN! When you do.....
I haven't seen a single small bronzie landed at brighton this season yet but there are some serious unstoppables cruising around munching on baits of whole kingies snapper and mulloway.
