Friday night seen my trip to tawitcherie barrage get canceled with my wife having to work saturday untill 1:30 pm & me looking after my daughter. All packed & ready to go when she got home saw me in the water about 3:30 pm . A kind older gentleman who was shocked at how much gear i could fit into the yak offered me some advice on where they had been catching garfish that morning , I thanked him & was on my way . I paddled around towards mundoo channel picking up 5 st on the way but only 2 were of leagal size . I anchored up a few times but not much was biting so i kept paddling & flicking lures. All up i caught 11 ST & only 2 were big enough to bring home . These two worked very well . Cheers Shaun

Good OnYa Shaun - looks like you had a decent day out anyway. Now that I am living in Goolwa, once I manage to get back on the water I shall be following in your paddle strokes (almost said footsteps). Give me a shout if you are coming this way in future - might just have my yak back on the water.

Would be good to paddle from mundoo all the way to tawitcherie barrage but will need to be an early start i think? fishydude may have a bit more of an idea how long it would take to get there? Have fished the mouth before not the barrage but is on my must do soon list.
