Being a new group ( and hopefully a proper club eventually ) who'd be interested in a social meet the people day ? Would be good to put faces to the new names eh !
Im not the least bit fussy where, would prefer a saturday, and im more than happy to chuck the barbie and an esky in the wagon.
Give us a shout if anyones keen, feel free to chuck up an idea for a date / location aswell.

I was going to wait a few weeks because we're still missing a few lads like water_baby and Buff but fine lol. I think somerton would be nice. Easy launch, plenty of parking as well as parks or the grandparents place as a meeting place when we're done. I'm not fussy so long as it isn't west lakes or seacliff. West lakes because well you all know why lol and Seacliff because we'll have the Bluewater classic there soon anyway and variety is the spice of life.

somerton would be good, but i reckon along the line we will have to take into account where everyone lives and meet in somewhere in the middle

Westlakes sounds like a good idea, havent had much luck with the fish there lately Unfortunately one of the administrators has an aversion to bream fishing. Whilst he would like bream tournaments and events to become a part of the SAKFA he would like the first meet and greet to be bluewater. *Takes admin cap off* I'd rather take my chances with the whites and catch something decent that I can actually eat without my children suffering birth defects.

now heres the killer, the other administrator loves the big blue too. I think the first meet and greet would be good to have on the blue, and finish off with a nice barbeque on the beach, thats my vote anyway, why dont we leave it up to majority though, what do you all reckon?

thats what i was thinking, and it would be good to get everyone in one spot at the one time, but it is unlikely that it will happen.

Right, I apologise in advance for this but I'm not having another AKFF Bluewater Classic scenario on my hands where I have to run 6000 polls just to choose a location, day and time. I am working with majorities whilst trying to please as many as possible, I understand that not everyone will agree but too many cooks spoil the broth. The first meet and greet will be at Somerton on Saturday the 1st of November, in past polls I've found that Saturdays are better for the majority. We will arrange to launch around dawn however you can come whenever you please as we only need to meet up when we're done. I will arrange for a BBQ a few houses back from the esplenade, sausages and bread will be provided courtesy of SAKFA however if you want meat, salad, beer etc it is BYO. Now before you jump up and down telling me this aint a dictatorship wait for part 2. The second meet and greet will be held 6 weeks later and will take place at West Lakes on Sunday the 14th of December. Yes Drew and Mike we miss out however we'll be enjoying ourselves and I needed to look out for SAKFAs best interests. With AKFF gatherings and summer only lasting so long I wanted to get four (if demand calls for it) meet and greets in whilst the weather is nice and without interfering with too many things. The third will be bluewater and will be held somewhere north of west lakes to cater for the northern boys. Date will be determined after the first two events have been run so we can guage pupularity. Think mid - late January. If you have complaints, tell them to fishnfreak. He'll be much more sympathetic than I will be and is your only realistic hope of stopping me. Regards, Hitl... L3GACY
