Just thought that I would announce that as soon as I get a few green days in a row on Seabreeze I'm going to fark off for a while. My KI trip is looking doubtful. Aaron has pulled out and I feel I should be doing the same. It's one of those situations where if I can't do it the way that I want to then I would rather postpone until I can. The depressing thing was that all the training was for nothing (at least until after the silly season when I'll be able to slot in time to do KI properly). What's the solution? I'm going to put my new found fitness to good use and paddle from my place to Normanville (50km). From there I'll walk the yak 15km to the farm (yes, walk) where I will rest up and finish fixing the ute so I don't have to walk it to the beach again lol. I figure it should give me a fair indication of where my fitness is at. I'll use up the rest of the good weather paddling toilet block reef, myponga beach and maybe even take the yak down to wirrina or rapids. Now I've just gotta get the new site up before I go!

sounds like a fair old trip matey. How long will you allow yourself for the paddle? Depending on your timing i may be able to meet you at normanville and do a few days at carrackalinga myself. Keep me posted.

I'll launch at 4am which gives me 16 odd hours to get off the water. Might be as soon as Monday but could be any time when the weather looks right for a few days. I'll no doubt post when I know when I'm leaving.

Jon: I can only assume that toilet block reef is the one off of Carrickalinga which I have been wanting to do for ages. As for your paddle to Normanville - No Thanks; However, I was looking to do that trip in my little Mirror Sailboat. Wonder if I could keep up with you? Keep me posted and I would love to meet you over there. Hey I don't have to drive so far anymore. Cheers

No dramas Kirk, with a couple deaths in the family it might need to be put off until after next week but we'll see. More determined than ever to do it though.
