Ray and Annes have had Surecatch glow in the dark Squid jigs going out the door at 5 for $10 for a while now. At Anglers Choice they are nearly $7 each. I normally turn my nose up at gear that cheap but my mate swore by them so I gave them a go.
Daylight - NEARLY as good as Shrimphunters.
Night - Unbeatable.
For $10 you'll get one in every size. Even if you only have them for spares you can take my word for it that they work and are definitely worth the very low investment.

Sounds good,,has anybody done much night squidding ? i am thinking of just going out and targeting squid sometimes on those hot summer nights,,i believe being well lit up will attract them to the yak,,,,,,,,,,,some boaters even put waterproof lights underwater to attract them.
Thats a great deal on the jigs,,some newones from "Harmitsu" ? are outfishing everything else at the moment i hear,,around $20 a pop.

Just another point of view:
I got 4 squid yesterday without actually trying to target them, none of the other boys got any. All caught on $2 jig. I have my shrimphunters in reserve but there's absolutely no need for expensive gear.

Most hookups were when i was trolling and stopped to a drink or to check one of the lines. They don't seem to take it anywhere near as often at full trolling speed.

I had a crazy squid last weekend that kept chasing the flies I was throwing around for Snook but when I dropped the squid jag on it's nose it just wouldn't touch it . Crazy little suckers ;D. Cheers Darren

Yes all mine have come from the cheapest jigs,,the expensive ones work etter when the squid are a touch shy it has been said,,i got a red and white one last year after hearing how good they are,,i have had little or no luck on that colour for some .reason.
